Our Director of Operations enjoys:

Leadership of Diverse Teams: The Director of Operations leads our fulfillment teams, including the following functional areas:

  • Online Advertising
  • Web Development
  • Software Development
  • Graphic Design
  • Content Creation
  • Technical Web Production
  • Technology Infrastructure

Autonomy and team-oriented atmosphere: Daily and weekly team meetings, as well as our open office space, contribute to frequent and collaborative discussion of how we can all improve together. The Director of Operations is given the autonomy to make decisions around their team’s budgets, workflows, and personnel.

Development and execution of the company strategy: The Director of Operations is a member of the Senior Management team, who meets at regular intervals (yearly, quarterly, weekly) to review the direction of the company, and set long-term goals as well as quarterly priorities to move the company forward.

Training & tools: We provide training on both our services and our processes, as well as tools to make your job efficient including custom software and CRMs in which client projects and tasks are tracked and organized.

Proven success in several industries and marketing platforms: We have successful clients across a spectrum of industries with a heavy hand in medical, legal, and tourism.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Operations Responsibilities

  • Lead the Production, Technology and Development, and Online Advertising Departments in:
    • Delivering their work with a high degree of quality and accuracy
    • Delivering their work in a manner that focuses on customer value
    • Setting internal KPIs to monitor the performance of team members and processes
    • Establishing goals related to delivery, and achieving those goals
    • Proactively identifying and addressing problems with fulfillment of client work
  • Apply Lean principles for continual improvement
  • Create pricing models for hourly rates, deliverables, and products
  • Review Internal processes for waste reduction opportunities
  • Contribute to company strategy and innovation by actively participating in dialogue with stakeholders of departments across the organization

 

Technology Infrastructure Responsibilities

  • Work with the Manager of Technology and Development in
    • Assuring our software infrastructure is stable, and has the features to support our teams in delivering client work
    • Managing the product backlog for our internally developed software
    • Prioritizing features for development in our internally developed software
    • Evaluating technology products
    • Maintaining our networking and telephone infrastructure

Requirements:

  • 8 years of progressive experience in operations / production management
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Passion for trends and innovation in the online marketing industry
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to influence others internally and externally
  • Analytical and results-oriented leader with exceptional execution skills
  • Strong follow-through and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated process improvement across a production organization
  • Capable of managing a diverse, technical workforce

Desired Qualifications:

  • 10 years of progressive experience in operations / production management in publishing, software development or advertising / marketing
  • Masters degree or equivalent work experience
  • Lean or equivalent certification
  • Excellent decision-making abilities
