The Sales Assistant will focus on prospecting and qualifying leads via phone and email as well as conducting research via online sources to prioritize target accounts for sales. This role will also assist in developing and facilitating the proposal process for specific prospects including pre-call research and presentation creation.

Our Sales Assistants enjoy:

  • Ability to research, test, and optimize phone and email communication to get the best response
  • Empowering the sales team with critical information on prospective businesses 
  • Diving into data to inform the sales team on sales metrics such as time to close
  • Serving as the subject matter expert on our CRM system, including training of new sales executives on proper setup and use, proactively detecting and reporting issues that impact efficiency and reporting back to the team, and resolving issues including communication with CRM support
  • Handling both inbound and outbound leads
  • Tapping into existing contacts in our database as well as past prospecting strategies to improve the success of outreach
  • Working independently and as part of a team
  • Seeing the impact of their work in the overall success of the sales team as well as the company
  • Leveraging the success of Search Influence’s past clients in prospecting strategies
  • Varied day-to-day responsibilities including assisting the Sales Executives with creating presentations, proposals and contracts to be sent to prospects, as well as ad hoc projects that come up to support the Sales & Marketing
  • Organizing and documenting all prospecting activities and tasks in a CRM
  • Maintaining a constant and open channel of communication with sales team members to ensure that the target account strategies are adjusted as needed

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, verbal and written
  • Self-motivated to deliver results
  • Independent decision-making ability 
  • High level of computer proficiency on Mac (including Google docs)
  • Efficient organizational and follow-through skills
  • High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, business or other related discipline or a commensurate level of experience
  • Familiarity with a CRM or task management system (ex: SugarCRM, SalesForce, HubSpot Sales)
  • Knowledge of online marketing
  • Prior experience in sales and marketing
