Our Account Team Leads enjoy:

Managing a client-focused team: The Account Team Lead manages a team of strategic and client-focused account managers and coordinators who support agency-client relationships. Responsible for strategic support, including phone and in-person meetings along with account planning and execution for the Account Managers in order to successfully get results for their clients. As an Account Team Lead, you should be quick to learn and manage a variety of skill sets, effective in communication, and driven to deliver results for our clients.

Growing employees’ skill sets: With a focus on helping our employees grow, the Account Team Lead meets with their employees on a bi-weekly basis and works to continuously develop their employees' skill sets.

Autonomy and team-oriented atmosphere: Daily and weekly team meetings, as well as our open office space, contribute to frequent and collaborative discussion of how we can all improve together.

Training & tools: We provide training on both our services and our processes, as well as tools to make your job efficient, including custom software and CRMs in which client projects and tasks are tracked and organized.

Proven success in several industries: We have successful clients across a spectrum of industries with a heavy hand in medical, legal, and tourism.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day management of Account Managers and/or Account Coordinators
  • Hold team members accountable to performing job duties as defined by their individual job descriptions
  • Onboard, train and mentor team members in planning and execution of all account activities and digital marketing strategies
  • Provide strategic support on account planning and execution to Account Managers and their clients
  • Attend and participate in client meetings (in-person and by phone) with Account Managers
  • Support Account Managers to achieve account growth and retention goals
  • Train and develop the team in digital marketing and account management skills
  • Review work of team during training and ongoing when appropriate to assure quality and consistency
  • Communicate the need for new staff, resources, and / or training to the Director of Account Management
  • Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to team members day-to-day
  • Conduct regular 1-on-1 meetings with each team member
  • Collaborate with the Director of Account Management on hiring, firing and performance management decisions
  • Support sales and marketing department with strategic input on large new account pitches such as RFPs


  • At least 3 years of full-time work experience in digital marketing, client account management, or leadership of client-facing employees
  • Proven ability to coach individuals to achieve performance goals and standards
  • Client-focus with demonstrated ability to maintain positive client relationships
  • Confident presentation style and ability to demonstrate expertise effectively via teleconference or in person meetings
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills
  • Proactive communication and interpersonal skills, verbal and written
  • Results-driven
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience in successful project management or coordination
  • Independent ability to prioritize and manage time
  • High level of computer proficiency on Mac (including Google Docs & Microsoft Office)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, digital media or a commensurate level of experience
  • Experience managing a team of people with individual responsibilities and team goals
  • Experience managing client-facing employees
  • Experience with marketing budget allocation
  • Experience in successful project management or coordination
  • Familiarity with a Customer Relationship Management / task management system (SugarCRM, SalesForce, Hubspot CRM)
